  United Utilities have been investing heavily over the past few years to implement an innovative wastewater treatment process to improve water quality in the River Bollin. This £50m investment is to reduce the phosphorus and ammonia levels in the treated water that is released from the works due to stricter targets being introduced in 2024.

Our works include a 57m long x 32m wide x 8m high MOB tank with 3 lanes running the full length and 21 cells divided by baffle walls. There was over 1000 tonne of loose bar reinforcement & 4,700 m3 of concrete placed.
