Lower Barden Spillway

The works at Lower Barden alongside Mott MacDonald Bentley was to increase the height of the spillway and introduce a new concrete base to the structure using fibre concrete. The new curved stepped bases replaced the pool design that was there previous to reduce hydraulic jump issues.

We then proceeded with constructing sloping walls to both sides in order to increase the overall height of the spillway.
